House 52 is a spectacular family home. The Brief was simple. “We want everything we have always wanted in our home”.

Of course, this includes a Gym, Cinema, Pool, entertaining space, a Bar, multiple reception rooms for both casual and formal use, a designed garden giving even more space for those outside rooms and then sumptuous interiors and finishes throughout.

The lighting was designed by a renowned London based designer, who we had last worked with over 10 years previously on a commercial interior with. Times change, but the experts in the field stay the same. A mix of many types of lighting was no problem for the systems we use and the skill set of our staff. Conventional dimming lamps, DALI dimming and even the Stages best offer, DMX lighting, was used for the home. The DMX is for the entertaining spaces in the basement and the owner can add DMX smoke machines or additional lights as the need suits.

We were able and encouraged to stretch our legs too with the specification. We specified a Dolby 9.4.6 system, with blistering results, all in a suede clad room just meant for Cinema. The garden too has a unique solution. A 12.2 buried satellite sound system, quite unusual in a home but giving the family as much or as little noise as they like.

There are additional nuances too. The house has many internal doors with locks to keep various things safe from young hands, be it the wine collection or the weights room, young hearts may want to, but will not be able to open doors. In addition, our first experience of integrating vapour fire places (using water vapour and LED to simulate a flame) which we have managed to get to operate with the NIGHT scene in the two rooms they have them. A stunning visual addition and simple to add parts to the background system and produce a great result for all.

And to add to all of this, the client was happy to specify the latest JUNG Matt Graphite Black covers for all of their outlets and accessories. A great addition to this contemporary super home.

Over 500 light fittings, over 150 light circuits and more than 60 keypads and control surfaces keep the home well-lit and easy to use for all.

A free to use APP gives the family 24/7 access when at the home or away, as needs require.

CCTV with multiple camera location keeps the whole home secure with motion recording and AI analytics as required.

Wi-Fi to all locations means that they family are always connected throughout the property.

A multiple station intercom system gives the owner and visitors the knowledge that no one will be missed, This is supplemented both by audio recording of all discussions between stations but also full video recording of the front door station onto the house CCTV recorder for simple tracking of visitors if wanted.

Overall, a stunning property, largely completed in 12 months but with the knowledge that as changes become mainstream, the owner can adapt and change the home to meet those needs during their time there.
